4.5MW Wind Turbine Introduction
HW5/S4500(156) wind turbine:
This is an economical wind turbine which designed for cold climate and low wind speed areas. The designed average annual wind speed is 7.5 m/s, and it can withstand 50 year extreme 3s gust wind speed of 52.5 m/s. The transmission scheme is still the three-point support structure with high speed ratio gearbox and a doubly fed asynchronous generator. This technical solution has been tested for a long time. This turbine has compact structure and good economy. All components are selected from mature domestic components, with high reliability. The yaw system had high universality and it can be reduce the cost of component procurement. This turbine is designed for area with medium to high wind speed.
HW5/S4500(165) wind turbine:
HW5/S4500(165) is a newly developed products, which was upgraded from HW5/S4500(156) turbine. It designed for low wind speed situation where average annual wind speed is 6.5 m/s, and it can withstand 50 year extreme 3s gust wind speed of 45.5 m/s. Due to the rotor diameter increase to 165m,it has better performance of power generation compared to the HW5/S4500 (156) turbine. For reduce the operating load and noise witch increased by the bigger rotor diameter, the gearbox speed ratio was adjusted from 161.31 to 167.
HW5/S4500(171) wind turbine:
HW5/S4500(171) is another newly developed products, which was also upgraded from HW5/S4500(156) turbine, but bigger rotor diameter. The designed average annual wind speed is 6 m/s and it can withstand 50 year extreme 3s gust wind speed of 45.5 m/s. Due to the larger rotor diameter, it has better performance of power generation in specific field with low wind speeds.
